after two weeks of casting we are delighted to announce we have found our lead actress, a phenomenal 6 year old girl named Harley Graham.

Cinematographer on board

Topher Osborn will be the director of photography for PRETTYUGLY.
He's a 3rd year graduate student at UCLA's prestigious school of film and television. He has a phenomenal eye and we are thrilled to have him on board!

STYLE

This is a simple tale told mostly through image, sound and action. Few words are spoken.

We are watching a memory being created. A trauma caused by a simple desire, will forever be attached to that desire.

Sound & Color create a heightened experience. The visceral, immediate view of things through a child's eyes.

A Modern Day Parable...

PRETTYUGLY (working title), a live action-short, is a parable about innocence and the sometimes brutally capricious nature of children. It explores the birth of violence and retribution in the mind of a child.

The primitive social psychology of children is a fascinating subject for me and often appears in my work.
